Unique and grounding
I got this little stone sphere to keep on my desk, and it has quickly become my favorite thing to grab during a long day of typing. It is slightly larger than a golf ball and has a really satisfying, heavy weight that makes it feel much more substantial than any plastic fidget toy. I especially like how cool the surface stays even after I’ve been holding it for a while, which is super calming when I’m stressed or just need a quick mental break.The patterns inside are actually pretty cool to look at when the light hits them, with layers and depths that look like a tiny landscape captured inside the ball. My particular one has a small white natural imperfection on the surface, but it doesn’t feel rough or distracting and just reminds me that it is an actual piece of stone. It feels solid and smooth in my hand, and the polished finish gives it a nice glow that looks great sitting next to my monitor.It is a simple piece, but it adds a nice, quiet bit of personality to my workspace without being cluttered. I ended up setting it on a small felt pad I had lying around to keep it from rolling away, and it looks perfect there. For the price, it is a great way to get a little bit of nature onto your desk and have something tactile to focus on when you need to clear your head.

Better Than A Plastic Fidget Spinner for Grounded, Cool, Keyboard Break Moments
I keep this little pink crystal sphere on my desk, and I finally get the attraction to fidget spinners, and although those are not me, I like picking this up as a keyboard break.This is slightly larger than a golf ball and has a really satisfying weight to it. One of the things I appreciate most is how cool it stays, after typing for a while, picking it up feels instantly calming in a way no plastic fidget toy can match, that’s for sure. I just don’t find plastic object calming or grounding and I rarely find them interesting.When I hold this up to the light, it has a surprising amount of depth. There are soft flashes of various tones of pink, and these layered, patterns inside that almost look like a tiny pink mountain range. Mine doesn’t have a star shape, but it definitely has that dimensional, glowing look that makes you want to turn it over in your hand.There is one small flaw: a patch on the outside that looks a bit white and chalky. At first I thought it might be glue, but it seems to just be part of the stone itself. It’s not rough or distracting, just a natural imperfection.This did come with a small red lacquer-style wood stand, but looks very poorly made and didn’t match my desk.Instead, I set the sphere on one f the small gray felt furniture pad “cups” that I use on my chair legs. I have hardwood floors and use felt pads a lot so I already had a spare. To me, the pink sphere on top of the gray felt looks good. It also keeps the sphere from rolling off my desk.Overall, I’m really happy with this. It’s pretty, it feels good to hold, and it adds a quiet, grounding moment to my workday.
